Sarah Whittle-Chavis, one of South Carolina’s rising business women, is the owner and operator JackSon’s Southern Kitchen, a southern buffet restaurant featuring southern and family style cuisine, at 1213 Sunset Blvd. West Columbia, South Carolina.
After the closure of one Columbia’s major restaurant staples in the community, Mrs. Sarah Whittle-Chavis, the owner of Jackson’s Southern Kitchen envisioned reopened the former S&S and Sadies Restaurant for business. They have now opened the former Mrs. B's and Southern Skillet Restaurant.
JackSon’s is just not an ordinary restaurant, but it is a BUFFET restaurant that specializes in authentic, Orangeburg county recipes prepared by seasoned veteran cooks. These recipes will be sure to make your mouth water.
Delicious fried chicken, family style sides to include mashed potatoes, tomatoes and okra, collards, beans, robust mac n cheese, fatback and more are available daily. JackSon’s also will serve up the best fried cornbread fritters this side of the Mason Dixon. The dessert bar will feature homemade peach cobblers and more.
For the health conscious, a cold salad bar stocked pile with fresh veggies and meat garnishments is available. JackSon’s also offers full service catering for weddings, executive level, church functions or family gatherings.
